Many financial planning firms and their staff struggle to access a sufficiently broad range of quality CPD. It's mainly gathered from conferences, and may not cover enough bases to be considered "comprehensive".
PFE can build your firm a bespoke CPD plan comprising a wide range of financial planning topics: regulation, investment, pensions, protection, tax, and trusts. This is delivered via online learning and live training events.
The CPD featured involves blended learning (a mix of watching, reading, and doing) and is tailored for your firm.
We'll also arrange one-to-one meetings with each staff member every six months, to make sure they're sticking to the plan!

The PFE online Learning Management System is a digital platform to access and record high quality online structured CPD.
Typically, your plan is supported by two (or more) private training days per year, on any subjects you like. These may be face-to-face, virtual, or a mix.
A one-to-one with each staff member every six months, to keep them motivated and on-track with the plan.
Our client, a small Financial Planning firm with three Financial Advisers, has a Bespoke CPD Plan as follows:
Each of the Advisers has access to the PFE online Learning Management System. It contains all the online learning required to complete the plan, and a place for them to securely and simply log their CPD.
We completed a group interview to (a) train them on the system, and
(b) establish which areas of CPD were most relevant to them. This included more specialist areas such as equity release and EIS/VCT investments.
We created a mandatory, or "essential", part of the plan involving 25 hours of structured CPD, comprised of a broad range of online learning and two live training days (one face-to-face, and one virtual, six months apart). It also provided all 15 required hours of IDD CPD.
The remaining minimum 10 hours of CPD was up to each Adviser, as they were already completing a lot of their own CPD independently (e.g., exams and conferences). However, we also created an "optional" online learning part of the plan if required, which would provide a further 15-20 hours. They could pick and choose from the CPD modules we'd selected for them.
Each Adviser has a half-yearly check in (two per year) to make sure they're on track to complete the plan. The outcomes of these check-ins is collated into a report and e-mailed to the firm's Compliance Officer.
